SAFER STREETS & NEIGHBORHOODS
Keeping Corona safe means making sure our police department has the people and resources it needs, while also addressing the challenges that affect the safety and quality of life in our neighborhoods.
I made fully staffing the Corona Police Department a priority, and today it is. We are continuing to improve 9-1-1 response times. I helped establish our Park Ranger Program to provide an additional presence in our parks and public spaces. And when it comes to homelessness, I worked to open Corona’s shelter and navigation center so we could connect people with services while also enforcing our laws against encampments in our neighborhoods.
I’ve also made fixing our streets a priority. Since I was first elected, Corona has repaved hundreds of miles of streets and invested in alleyways, sidewalks, bike paths and other infrastructure throughout the city.
There is always more work to do. I will continue supporting a fully staffed police department, investing in our streets and infrastructure, and working to keep Corona’s neighborhoods, parks and public spaces safe.
QUALITY OF LIFE
I grew up in Corona, and now I’m raising my own family here. I want our city to be a place where families can put down roots, kids have great places to play, and residents of every age can enjoy the community they call home.
That’s why I’ve worked to secure investments in nine new playgrounds across Corona, the renovation of our Senior Center, and the reopening of Griffin Park after being closed for 13 years. I also fought for the acquisition of 292 acres along the Cleveland National Forest, preserving open space and protecting it for future generations.
I created Student Discovery Day to bring local high school students into City Hall and give them a firsthand look at local government and public service.
I will continue advocating for more parks, trails, open spaces and community amenities that make Corona a great place to live and raise a family.
INVESTING IN OUR FUTURE
Corona’s future depends on the decisions we make today. That means investing wisely, creating opportunities for our residents and making sure our city is financially prepared for the years ahead.
I worked to secure a site at Parkridge Avenue and Main Street for a future Riverside Community College District campus, creating a new opportunity for higher education on a corner that had sat vacant for more than a decade.
I also brought home our fair share of funding that helped make the Innovation Center at the Corona Public Library possible, giving students, entrepreneurs and residents access to technology, resources and a place to learn, collaborate and build new skills.
Fiscal responsibility matters, too. Every year since I was elected in 2018, we’ve delivered a balanced budget while maintaining reserves to prepare for economic uncertainty and unexpected challenges.
I will always fight for Corona’s fair share of state and federal funding and putting those dollars to work on infrastructure, education, economic development and the long-term needs of our community and families.
